Okay, so first day: not so good. We don't have a whole lot of fruits or salad food in the house. We stocked up for a family dinner a few days ago that consisted of enchiladas, tacos, rice, and beans. So not a whole lot of health options.
I had some lettuce and tomatoes with dressing from breakfast, my mom ordered pizza for lunch, and around 8ish my friends and I stopped at a candy store and I had a few pieces of candy :S
So I think what I need to do is make a list of things that I should have my mom buy for my new lifestyle. I'm guessing lots of fruits ans veggies. I was also hoping to start eating vegan/vegetarian food.
If you have any suggestions for healthy/tasty foods, please let me know!
Inspiration thoughts: Once Satan realizes that you've decided to make a change in your life for the better, he'll do everything that he can to prevent and discourage you. So this first month is going to be very difficult. In times of weakness, look to God to be your rock and your guide. This type of lifestyle change won't only improve your health, but your personal self control and your relationship with God. If you want, you can also call/text me to help lift you up : 602.799.8943
Foods to buy:
Carrots, apples, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, corn, beans, nuts, celery, strawberries.. that's about all I have :P Please leave more suggestions! More fruits/veggies or maybe some kind of vegan/vegetarian soup, or recipes would be great!
Just found this:
Eating healthy can be tasty!
Fruits and veggies are great, but don't forget your protein! Lean chicken is great for diets, you just have to be careful how you cook it and what you eat with it. Baked is always healthier than fried. Cook it with a bit of olive oil and lemon pepper and pair it with a delicious raspberry vinaigrette salad and you've got a healthy dinner! Another thing that will help you lose weight is drinking water. If you completely cut soda out of your diet, the pounds will melt off almost instantly. Substitute soda with flavored sparkling water beverages to kick the habit quick! I love you LOTS, my gorgeous friend, and I'm here for you through this!
ReplyDeleteYay!! Thank you Lauren! This helps a lot! I know nothing about having a good diet but I 'm definitely learning :P
ReplyDeleteI love you!
Getting enough sleep also helps with weight loss. Your body just functions better when you have enough rest and will also make it easier to cut out mindless snacking!
